Front porches are welcoming outdoor living rooms. These “in-between” spaces connect a family's private home with the surrounding neighborhood. They’re a home’s way of extending an inviting gesture to neighbors and guests - sheltering visitors and packages from the weather.

We’ve been incredibly fortunate to work with many homeowners over the years who also share the value of these spaces and wish to either restore a long-lost feature or create a new addition to their home.

Classical proportions and period details seamlessly extend the style of this home to its new porch.

Over the years, DKAD has provided pro-bono consulting services to the Women’s Club of Glen Ridge to help them preserve their 100 year old building. This included overseeing the rehabilitation of this classical entrance portico.

DKAD has worked on several projects to renovate the Freeman Fieldhouse at Hurrell Field in Glen Ridge - including the proposed restoration of the original entrance portico that was removed many years ago.
